The development of Szolnok Logistics Service Centre
Winning PHARE support for the project, the Local Government of County Rank town of Szolnok started the implementation of the Logistics Service Centre in 2005. The first phase was completed by December 2006, in the total investment value of 6 million euros.  A surface fortification of access roads, building of traffic hubs and bicycle paths, furthermore the modernisation of street lighting system were completed. .jpg)   The improvement of the area for the logistics service centre was finished including the complete system of public utilities; drinking and fire water supply, drainage and sewage canals, gas distribution facility, electric energy supply and telecommunication system.  19.789 m2 of paved loading area was built, from which 8.379 m2 general loading area, 6.720 m2 container terminal, 4.690 m2 vehicle storage area, furthermore 20.543 m2 service roads. The infrastructural conditions of a 12-13,000 m2 warehouse have been created.  With the renovation of the presently two-storey operations block nearly 300 m2 of office space has become available for rent. Logistics networks in Hungary The development of the hungarian logistics service centres has already started in 1993. With the using of the national and international research results the Ministry of Economy and Transport prepared a conception of the important logistics service centre network. Those parts of the country were marked out which could be suitable for seats of successful logistics centres. The Ministry of Economy and Transport decided to create 11 logistics districts with 13 national logistics service centres. an. These are the districts and centres:
